Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 11

On March 15th we have attended Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 11 (also visited Japan, but more about that in another post).

This was actually a very strange Dolpa - very short and very few limited items, also somewhat strange rules.

Line to draw limited item line numbers
The line to draw tickets for limited items line (and a guidebook that serves as the ticket)

This time around there were three lines - the General admission line, Sumika shop line and the limited items line. Technically you could only go to one according to the rules and also you could only draw one number, no line switching. In reality line-switching was permitted and they allowed you to draw multiple numbers too, just like in the past. Phew.

My number
Limited items line area. This is my second attempt at a good number - and this one turned to be decently good, so I stayed in the area.

Also in this area was a display area of the limited items themselves:

Yuzuki Shimamura
DD sister Yuzuki Shimamura. It was announced that once all stock is sold, mail order options (to Japanese shipping addresses only) would be available.

Hijikata and Okita
Shinsengumi guys Okita and Hijikata. It was announced at the start of the Dolpa, that Hijikata would only be available as a mail-order (to Japanese addresses only).

Mihme and Toppi
SD-Midi Toppi and Mihmi.

Lots of guidebooks
Some people in the line (sounding a lot like Chinese) had huge stacks of guidebooks (to increase their chances at a good spot in the line, I guess).

In line for limited items
My turn to line up, the line was outside and only started to form after general admission line entered the exhibition hall, which was pretty strange since usually the entryways are separate and the first limited items line people get to enter about at the same time as the general admission line. You can see the table with staff handing out purchase right tickets.

Moving towards limited items ticketing booths
And now we are following the staff to our place.

Smoke place near the ticketing stands
Turned out there was a smoking spot just by the limited tickets tables, eww.

Still available limited items
As I am getting to pick my choices, everything is still available, but DD Sister and Hijikata are mail-orders only.

It turned out there were only about 30 of DD Sisters before they reverted to mailorders, and also about 200 of everything else as just behind me stuff started to sell out and people we know that got number 400 were not able to buy anything at all. These low stock numbers are very surprising and pretty unusual, frequently limited doll stocks go over a thousand.

At the floor
A stage had colors very similar to those of Russian flag which was somewhat strange.

I went to the area that had Shinsengumi and other limited items display first as the light there was much better:

Now moving on to some visitors dolls

Visitors dolls
People started to play with doll furniture and a teacher dress released for this Dolpa.

Visitors dolls
Someone's Kasumi.

The pace was very hectic due to reduced event duration (closing at 3pm, where as normally it lasts until 5pm at the least).

One-off drawing procedure

And also One-for-all Auction this time had two Suigintous in different outfits and makeups.

Due to lack of time, I also had no way to run through dealers and take any pictures.

Angel Rose booth: a bunch of Kasumi
This is an Angel Rose mini-meetup at the Angel Rose booth.

There were 3 Kasumis there by some chance.

Also at the end there was the traditional bingo game. And this time around Ksusha won another Rei-Tenshi!

(The picture is not ours but this is the only one we have since I was so surprised, I forgot to take any pictures).

And this concludes the HT Dolpa Kyoto 11.
