Kyoto, days 1&2, Tenshi no Sato

On Saturday November 24th we boarded a very early shinkansen to Kyoto at 7am and have arrived at around 9:40am, checked into our hotel and rushed to Saga-Arashiyama station to meet with a friend and have some breakfast.

Then we went to Tenshi no Sato, below are some pictures.

Fall colors were already in full swing, but we decided that we can visit other parks on weekdays as there were terrible crowds on the weekend.

Sato visit
And all together! Handsome guys, don't you think so? ;)

We spent entire day at Tenshi no Sato then returned to the hotel after some dinner.

Next day was pretty hectic. We had a special kind of train ticket (called JR pass, only available for foreigners) that allowed us to take any JR trains with no additional costs (including most Shinkansens). We decided to take advantage of it and visit as many VOLKS Tenshi no Sumika stores as we could. The reason to visit the stores was twofold. #1 - every store has their own pin with a different styled cat and we decided to have a comprehensive collection of them. The reason #2 is to collect store stamps (also different stamps in every store), as for why, we'll tell you later ;)

Since we already were kind of at the south, we decided to travel further south and visited first Osaka, then headed to Hiroshima.

From Hiroshima we headed to Fukuoka store, the most south one of them all, though it was already after dark, so no pictures around, sadly.

We returned to Kyoto quite late, but just in time for dinner ;) And the dinner was at an okonomiyaki place.
